Justin Barber caught two nice walleye Wednesday fishing the seawall along the Thomas Edison Parkway.

Like many people, the Port Huron resident is concerned that invasive Asian carp could destroy a large part of what makes the Great Lakes great.

"It's a very big worry," he said. "Especially considering that fact that our fishing is coming back.

"We have the best walleye fishing, we have good reports of salmon, and perch."

A survey released Tuesday shows people who live near the Great Lakes support increased efforts to keep out Asian carp, according to a news release from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
